Know Your Rights — Security Pay & Entitlements Check
Are you being paid what the law says? Irish security pay & entitlements
If you work as a licensed security officer in Ireland, your pay and conditions are set by law — not just by your employer. The Security Industry Employment Regulation Order (ERO) fixes a legal minimum hourly rate for static guarding and door supervision. Since 22 July 2025 that rate is €15.41 an hour, with a night-shift premium on top, paid annual leave, and a statutory sick pay scheme. Despite that, many guards across Ireland are quietly underpaid — often without ever realising it.
This free, anonymous Pay Check tool tells you where you stand in seconds. Enter your hourly rate and your hours, and it compares them against the current ERO minimums — showing what you should be earning, roughly how much you may be owed each week and each year, and which holiday and sick-pay entitlements apply to you. It was built by people from inside the Irish security industry, for the officers who work in it.
Whether you are full-time, part-time, or on a variable-hours contract, knowing your rights is the first step to being paid properly. Check your pay below.
Not sure you’re being paid correctly? This free tool checks your hourly rate, holidays and sick pay against the 2026 Security Industry ERO and Irish employment law — in about 30 seconds, all on your own device.
