My responsibilities involved protecting individuals and locations, assessing potential security risks, monitoring suspicious activity, conducting observations, responding to incidents, supporting investigations, gathering and evaluating information, and maintaining public safety.
The role required strong situational awareness, confidentiality, discipline, rapid decision-making and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. I also gained extensive experience in dealing with members of the public, managing conflict and working effectively as part of a team during sensitive and demanding operations.
